Droid Digital

I led a team of awesome humans to launch integrated creative for Motorola Droid smartphones.

When It Matters

It was time for DROID to grow up. No more robots and sci-fi. These were powerful, no-nonsense devices that stand for substance. Some of the key components were the rebrand of the DROID Does website as well as multiple tv spots and a whole host of digital advertising.

Art Direction

This revolutionary art direction took a simple, yet technical approach to featuring the devices. Using rare zoom lenses we were able to capture the incredible details of the phones through lighting them properly.

Device UI

By partnering with Motorola we were able to integrate the DROID brand into the device UI. This was a first for both Verizon and Motorola.

Parallax Video

To add some movement and intrigue to the landing page experience we filmed actions that we controlled through a parallax effect when you scrolled.

Paid Digital

Digital display ads ran across a variety of channels. Interactive telemetry units ran on Hulu during commercial breaks.

Superhuman

The DROID DNA is a best-in-class smartphone with an unbelievably powerful processor, incredibly large screen, and brilliant, clear sound. Leveraging the strength of the DROID brand, the campaign for this phones launch blurred the lines of fantasy and reality by using language and imagery that was shocking in it’s delivery

Digital Shorts

Digital shorts were seeded through Verizon’s social channels and leveraged on Youtube.

RAZR Maxx HD

To bolster sales of the DROID RAZR MAXX HD, online videos, standard banners, rich media executions, Buzzfeed sponsorships and a high-profile YouTube takeover touted the device with the longest lasting battery life in the industry.

Dedicated pre-roll allowed us to communicate all of the different ways you could use the device with the longest battery life in the market.

Display Advertising

Interactive display also showcased the different ways you could use the device. High profile takeovers captured large audiences and drove them to the purchase experience.

Droid Theory

Combining elements of the real world with that of an A-list epionage film and directed by Doug Liman, a long form video was created and seeded through DROID’s social channels.
